Noldorin jewelry

Headcanon: Due to the Silmarils, the nauglamir*, and the rings of power, ‘Noldorin jewelry’ became a byword for 'gift that will lead to big problems’ among elves in the late Second Age and Third Age.

This also led to a superstition among Silvan and Sindarin elves against any jewelery made by Noldor.
* Made by dwarves, but owned by Finrod, a Noldo, so it counts.
